I've noticed the same thing. I imagine it is by design but it is not unintuitive to me.
I have an afl that has several Params which are traced right after they are set.
When I close amibroker with the afl selected in the analysis window and then reopen amibroker the default values are printed in the log.
When I click the parameter button the window shows the last manual values I entered into the window (must be saved somewhere) AND the log displays the manual values.
I then close the parameter window and run backtest and the default values are displayed in the log. I expected the manual numbers to be used.
The other thing I notice is if I'm displaying the afl in the chart window and change the parameters in the parameter window they will change back to the default if I click on the chart (as indicated in the log window). In fact each time I click on the chart the default parameters are displayed in the log window.
Either I'm missing something or this is odd behavior. Until I understand it I'm not going to use the parameter function.
Regards,
Ron
