Thank you everyone for your suggestions.
I just created my database a couple of weeks ago, so I don't have an old backup. Guess I'll try to get by with the 32 bit version for now, and if I really need to, I'll export my data to ascii and import it into the 64 bit version.
I am just a little disappointed with the length of this whole process. I had a bright idea while trading two weeks ago and thought I could backtest it quickly in AmiBroker, but now I have lost some sleep and enthusiasm and I am just barely ready to start programming my idea. It's not AB's fault per se - it's all the technology put together that wastes a lot of time. Trying to get all the right RAM, CPU, motherboard, graphics cards, monitors, operating systems, utilities, antivirus, firewall, data vendor, broker software, technical analysis software, etc. I am really starting to hate technology, and my day job is as a software engineer.
Anyway, hopefully my post will save some other poor souls from unnecessary suffering. People deserve to know what they are getting into.
Thanks,
Chris
