I was having this problem with esignal data on any version of Amibroker that I tried with futures symbols - they would not update after a backfill. Amibroker support said it was a problem with my machine or my scripts. However, I got the same problem on another 2 other machines and on a clean Virtual PC XP sp3 image as well just plotting price in an AFL. This update problem did not occur with Ninjatrader. So, I think it is an interface problem between Amibroker and esignal futures data. Strangely, most of the futures bid/ask data still shows up in Amibroker's RT quotes window. In the end, I decided to change to IQFeed data after verfying during their trial that their futures data did indeed work. Until this problem is recognized by Amibroker staff, your best bet to address this problem is to use IQFeed.

I have esignal rt connection, and the futures i'm looking at = russel 2000 eminis and south african alsi futures. What can be different for futures to cause this?
