I never had this problem before upgrading to the 5.29 beta from 5.2. I never had this in any 4x version. I never have this problem with an EOD data base but then I rarely use that database. And I never have this problem at any other time of the day but when I start it up at the beginning of the day.
In my case I was not changing parameters. I usually start Ami first and do nothing but start TWS. I may switch to a symbol or time frame if I am intraday auto trading. The default database is IB one minute.
At times change the time frame but I can't associate it with parameters or ticker or time frames. I will pay closer attention but it happens so seldom I probably will forget to pay attention.
There is one thing I do at times, I start Ami and before it comes up completely I start TWS. The other day that was what I did. I clicked on Ami to start it and immediately started TWS from the start menu. Ami stayed up until TWS started backfilling.
