Thanks Tomasz: After I wrote that note I realized it's probably user dumbness in that I've never mastered the security and cookie settings on IE 8. That might have caused it. I use Chrome when ever I want very little in the way of filtering but it doesn't support one of the script editors that I use.

The danger of knowing enough to be dangerous is how I would type myself

I just tried with Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP SP3 and download worked fine (and note that amibroker.com server is located in

MCLEAN, Virginia, USA and I am located 5200+ miles (8300+ kilometers) from the server, so you are definitely closer), so it was

probably accidential / temporary issue rather than rule.

I recommend you try a different browsers than MS IE 8. With XP Pro I got no errors using Firefox which was my choice after getting the same error as John J on IE 8.0.

Living with 3 browsers IE8, Firefox, and Chrome. Long story as to what works and doesn't work on any one of those.

When I tried to install 5.29.2 beta I get the following error.

An error prevents this program from continuing. Could not read SFX info. It's likely corrupt.

My OS is Windows vista with latest updates.
