I am having the same problem; i.e., no historical data, hence if you use AmiQuote & "Yahoo Historical - EOD stocks, funds, US & International (50)" as the source, many are failing - although most are new, .BB or .PK. Even the new ETF (EFN) is not downloading historical data.

Another complaint I've had with that is that here in Arizona, I usually had to wait until after 7:00 PM to download anyway.

I have solved this by using "Yahoo Current - current day only stocks, funds, US & International (50)" as the source, which will download much faster and earlier. You can also get snapshots during the day if you wish and they will be corrected at EOD as long as you repeat after the close.

Caution though, "Yahoo Current" won't give you yesterday's data if you didn't download yesterday and won't correct if you don't download after EOD. Also, I think my volumes are getting screwed up, not that I care, since I don't use volume anymore because of the super computer trading.

I'm thinking of biting the bullet and subscribing to QP3.

Kent
