Thanks Mike, that's got it! And what a simple solution.
Here is what I used, if anyone is interested...
Cond1 and Cond2 were already part of my filter before I decided to exclude preferred share issues.
Filter = GroupID(0) == 1 AND StrFind(Name(),"+") == 0 AND Cond1 AND Cond2;
Buy=Filter;
