I hope the discussion continues.  I have to confess that I am one of those that uses a LOT of _TRACE() in an attempt to trial and error my way through questions like the following.  Sometimes I end up with the right solution with no real understanding of why it worked this time.  In these cases, the documentation is not clear to me and more is needed.  Getting that "more" is not all that easy.  Of course, when I figure it out with _TRACE() and the solution makes since to me, then it goes without saying that the documentation met my needs.
