Hello,

5.27/5.28 may run faster because  of 8-byte (64 bit) alignment of data structures.
When data are aligned to 64 bit boundary, they can be transfered and processed faster than
misaligned data.

Best regards,

Subject: [amibroker] 2.80 vs 2.60

I installed AB 2.80 on a AMD 6800+ machine which runs @2.8GHz. I have AB 2.60 on a AMD 7750 Machine which runs @3.0 GHz. Both machine have 4GB memory. I ran the same optimization on both machine to validate the result from the new release and perhaps detect any bugs (if any). What I noticed was that AB2.8 runs about 20% faster than AB2.60. Is AB2.80 faster or is it the cpu?

I am using identical EOD databases which I copied from my main machine to the beta machine. Both machines run windows xp with sp3.
