Without wanting to digress too much because I think the Jorgen/AF/VLanschot conversation is valid and important - because lets face it, we are where we are, and that means for most of using arbitrary timeframes is the reality - you make some interesting points. Many of which I agree with...

However, for my own part, I don't use indicators - I only look at price action - which frees me from some of the problems you highlight.

Also, I don't backtest - at least not using computer code. I backtest manually (because it's virtually impossible to do otherwise using the techniques I use). Again some of the problems you highlight are not an issue for me.

However, like many traders, I do use multiple timeframes to dissect my market information, and I sense there is a better & more efficient way of doing it than simply using interval linked charts and constantly flicking between intervals.

That seems to be what Jorgen has achieved in his own trading and I'm simply interested in how he & others may find a way of representing this 'extra' info effectively.
