Hello everyone,
Due to a back up battery UPC (found out it is defective) turning
off my main trading computer (numerous times) I have spent many hours trying to
understand the Data file. After looking at 5 diff computers that have been used
either current or in past and downloading a new trial on an untouched computer
I have the following:
- On a new data base these are the
following files: First sub file is “_,” then ‘0’
to’9’, Layouts, and ‘a’ thru ‘z’ with ‘Watch.lists,
broker.master, broker.watch, and broker.workspace’. = 42 total. All
these under the main file like “Mydata”.
- Now the problem, if
connection has been lost then on mine I have under “_ “
another mass of files which where: “_“ to ‘9’
plus ‘A to Z’ plus ‘Broker.watch’ and under Zero
file and N file. Seems to me just spread around. N file cause
trading the NQ is the only screen up. I think!
- I do have broker.watch under
some other sub files.
Under 5.09 Help under Files and directories used by
Amibroker there is no mentioned of “broker.watch” as part of the
files?
Quote in the help file:
“In almost all cases, you
should NOT touch files in an AmiBroker database, as the program manages them
automatically, and no user intervention is required.”
If I delete these extra files they do no come back, as of yet!
So the question is: Is this normal?
And do you have multiply copies under some of these files?
Jerry
P.s. Any input will be appreciated. I’m trying
to solve a problem of the disappearing indicator of which only has happen since
above.
