Maybe an easy question I can answer:)
If you mean "Floating" and "Normal", then on the floating window highlight
the blue bar then Window > Normal.
Or if you want we can arrange a 'meet on the net' ! e-mail direct.

I masked a floating window. Right click on the blue upper band of the
window.
No way to unmask it. Is it lost ?
The layout can't display it again.
