[amibroker] Re: ASX / SFE Data Provider Recommendations Please

eSignal is the only off the shelf option.

I am using it for US and London ... haven't subscribed to the ASX/SFE but you can take the thirty day trial and find out first hand.

They have an Aussie desk.

I am happy with the data but I am not an extreme speed trader.
I just pay the bill and use it .. I have never had to get involved beyond that.

I intitially subscribed to use the data for Ninja Trader ... its the same data and works out to be cheaper (data only and no news etc) .. it works fine with AB's downloader/Pro version.

There might be some eS downloader issues ... take the link for the eS downloader from AB .... check with AB support about this if you have any trouble downloading.

The only slight complaint I have with eS is that their symbol lists are not up to the mark (I have to get lists from elsewhere and enter them into AB myself via ASCII import).
The IQ site has a 'mother of all symbol list file in downloadable CSV ... it could be modified for eS maybe by changing the suffexes ... it does not have ASX or as many international exchanges as eS)

Users of eS for international markets seem happy with it (Americans tend to use IQ if they don't want the international exchanges ... possible it is a little cheaper for them to trade local only ... it also gets good reports from AB users).

InteractiveBrokers is also popular because of the AT interface/brokerage for international markets but the RT data isn't as good and there are ongoing niggling issues (whether they are justified complaints or user error I don't know).
