I don't think that will help much if Conrad is looking to lock down database preferences/time alignment:
- broker.prefs properties can be changed to read only but this can be over-ridden in the open instance .... that only prevents saving of new preferences between sessions.
- intraday preference settings are global but intraday settings (day/night session) are saved per database?
(I assume Conrad is looking to deploy to several users with desktops?)
