Best value depends on your exact needs. For instance, how much backfill do you need? For instance, IB only provides 30 days backfill.
One suggestion for using QuoteTracker is to setup a TDAmeritrade account and get free intraday backfills upto 20 days on upto 600 symbols. Seems to work OK for me so far, with 25 symbols. Only problem is that sometimes AB doesn't refresh quotes after my computer comes out of standby. Had to restart AB and perform manual backfill request through QT to get real-time updates flowing again.
I am still in the process of setting up my trading platform for day-trading with AB. I think I might actually go back to TradeStation since it has nice chart-based and market-depth mouse click trading. I haven't seen anything compare to that yet. I suppose I could program my own interface, but I rather spend my time trading and watching the markets.
