I've only had limited exposure to TradeStation. But, my impression is that the AmiBroker user base has more of a do it yourself (DIY) nature to it, with considerable support from other members.

If you have programming skills, you will not go wrong by adopting AmiBroker. If you don't, there are members of this forum that offer coding services.
