I've had possibly related problems for months. I run AB and TWS on the same machine, so there is no network problem, but I frequently get dropped connections trying to update backfill data (1min, 1 day, or 5 day). My real-time trading connection gets dropped after about 5 minutes. TWS is still live on the net - it is just the API connection that is dropped. I have not found any way of starting up that works, though perhaps it works better if I have rebooted recently.
(Worse yet, now with the latest Amibroker (5.24beta) and TWS, AB is crashing when I try to connect. Any hints appreciated. Guess I should file a bug report.)

Can you provide some more details? What is your data source? Are these stocks from the NYSE, Naz, Amex, OTC BB? When you look at these stocks in your database do they show that they have traded the day prior?
