Stuttgart ...if you go to YahooFinance Germany and enter the ISIN, as shown on the US quotes page, when the symbol is entered, you will get the same result.

Historical data wasn't available yesterday ... only current and 5 day chart.

This was discussed not long ago ... depends on tracking ... some indexes are actually tracking a basket of gold stocks etc.

I don't think ^GOX was mentioned but it might be the closest to spot for gold.

Depends what you want ... Yahoo has 1/5day futures for gold/oil etc

Enter gold in YF.usa quote then >> click on 'show all listings for gold

Same for oil ... sometimes UK has different info to USA.

You have to look at vols traded ... low vol is not a good tracker.

After I get a list I go to the ETF manager or the exchange to find out what the indices or fund tracks.
