You can try adding code to your AFL that looks up the industry name of the current symbol, then set a flag to ignore the symbol if the industry name starts with "Closed End Fund".

e.g. (untested)

Ignore = (StrFind(IndustryId(1), "Closed End Fund") == 1);
Buy = ... AND NOT Ignore;

Filter = NOT Ignore;
