[amibroker] Metastock data from Almax - how to connect

Help Please - I'm a newbie in Australia on a trial version - I'm trying 
to connect to my existing Metastock data which is in 
C:\Gempro\Data\ASX\Stocks

I followed the procedure "How to use AB with external data source..."
, But I cannot see any of stocks under the Symbols tag 

After I hit "Retreive symbols" the "done' msg appeared instantly - this 
seems v v fast for a databsase of 2000+ symbols 

Any ideas ?
