I've been to the Member's Zone, and I cannot figure out any way to

bother going there anymore.

Hi Dennis,
Thank you for your comments and suggestion. I have sent TJ several
emails requesting some additions to AB as well as his request for
additional suggestions from the forum regarding charting additions
etc. I believe if AB had a number of studies built in it would make
the program easier to use and appeal to a broader audience. My
decision to email TJ privately stemmed from my approach to appeal to
the business man in TJ as well as support my suggestions for the
additions. He has continued to develop new features for those who have
the ability to program and a dearth of new features for those who
can't.
I am pleased he has added the new features for those with the ability
to program, my wish is that he would also add new features for those
of us who don't. I really like AB and very much wish to continue using
it but I am now forced to use another program because they offer what
I need. AB and I go back a few years, forget how many, but I need
certain studies that have been missing and because of that I have
opted to use a program which isn't as good in many areas as AB. Over
the years I have seen many wonderful things said about AB and rightly
so. However, the main criticism which has been stated numerous times
is the need to program in order to get the most out of AB and lack of
studies. TJ is well aware of this and I have also brought it to his
attention as well. It was with these things in mind that I posed the
question to TJ in hopes of getting his response. Thank you again for
your comments and suggestion.

Warmest regards,

Tim

Tim,

I searched every open suggestion for any originated by Tim...
I only found one, and that was just implemented (for calendar days).

Did you have specific suggestions requested in the official feedback
area you are referring to?

It is hard to tell what you are referring to from your comment  --
"more" is not an actionable suggestion.

AmiBroker is very strong in programmability features, and backtesting
of portfolio strategies.  It is also very good in basic charting.
However, if you are looking for a lot of built-in charting studies
that require no programming, then a dedicated manual charting program
would likely have more of these features.

If you are able to drag and drop indicators, then a lot more things
are possible, thought others may have to write them if you can not do
it.

Could you be more specific about what you are looking for?

If you just want lots of chart studies for free, then open a
thinkorswim account.  You get data feeds and charts with a lot of
studies at no charge.

Best regards,
Dennis

Hi TJ,
I know many of the programmer types enjoy the many features you have
added to AB over the years. However, is their any chance you are
going
to add features for those of us who want charting upgrades,
additional
charting studies etc? I am sure these features would be very well
received also. Please consider this in future upgrades to AB. Thank
you.

Kindest regards,

Tim
