Hello,
Wondering if anyone else has seen this problem and has a workaround.
Normally, merging two symbols is easy, and I've done so many times.
But when I try to merge my recent data on the symbol
EUR.USD-IDEALPRO-CASH from IB, with a corresponding segment of
historical data under a different symbol name, e.g. EURhist, AB hangs
and never completes the merger.
If I go the other way, i.e. keeping EURhist as the "Destination"
symbol and EUR.USD-IDEALPRO-CASH as the "merge with" synbol, then it
will merge BUT will delete the latest data from EUR.USD-IDEALPRO-CASH.
So that's no good. And then when I change the name of EURhist to
EUR.USD-IDEALPRO-CASH, I can't get the live data to start streaming
again for the "live" Symbol.
Before trying to merge, I disconnect TWS so that there is no
interference from the live data stream, but it makes no difference. I
just can't seem to merge current EUR.USD-IDEALPRO-CASH data with any
historical data. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this some kind of bug?
