Hi there,

At least with IB, there is not roudlotsize, the only requirement is a
mimimum trade size which is about 30k usd.
After that u can trade any size, like 123322 , as long as it is
greater than the minimum 30k usd.

I backterst forex just using margin settings, and setpositionsize, so
\i can get any position.
The only limitation is (from the help)

spsPercentOfEquity (=2) - size expressed as percent of portfolio-level
equity (size must be from ..100 (for regular accounts) or .1000 for
margin accounts)

So even if you set margin to 1%, you cannot go beyond 1000/100=10 margin.
If this limit was increased u coul trade any currency in this way
without treating it as a future.
The way i get around it is to modify the sig.posszie in the cusom
backtesting.

Currencies are jus another security which can be traded on margin,
like a stock, and since the order size has not to be a multiple of any
rounlotsize (at least with IB), if find it easier and more natural to
backtest in this way.

I hope next AB version will allow any spsPercentOfEquity , also >1000

Cheers

Ly
