I had played with the " text to voice" function in Vista recently ,
not sure if some settings in this Vista function may cause problem in the
misfuntion of say(). Just a guess, I can not find the reason so far.

Works fine on my Vista 64 bit.
I assume it's a soundcard driver issue on
your Vista system.
