[amibroker] Re: COPYRIGHT

Trading Reference Links

My wife went Christmas shopping so I took the opportunity to 'Wiki'
for Python after I posted.

Interesting story.

The founder of Python, Guido van Rossum, is known in the Python
community, as the Benevolent Dictator for Life (BDFL):-)

Wiki gave some examples of users, from small commericals up to NASA,
Google and Yahoo (yikes, the corporates are plundering open source!)

I read a little further on licenses also ... it seems that the only
way for developers to get paid, have open source code and prevent
users locking up the intellectual development, via copyrignt, would
be via the licensing agreement.

I seem to recall AB is EULA?

BTW I see that Wiki is calling for donations and promises are up to
USD$3M +

Thanks for your reply .... of course freedom of individual choice was
the most important point all along.

Bruce asked for comments and suggested 'protection'.

I vote for a version of payed license/viewable source/copyleft on the
AFL ..... nothing against protection if it fits into that model.

Oh well, back to the real world ;-)

"From the unreal lead me to the real".
