Received my copy of your book this morning (in Oz).
 
I think your idea of having beginners type in the code is a great idea for beginners.

Let's follow your first idea for educationnal purpose.

I typed the FFT.afl and it's not a long job. The CTRL+Tab syntax
auto-complete is useful.
