hello joe, hello tomasz,
i can confirm joe's problem, as i have started to get "symbol is
invalid" errors as of yesterday 21.10.2008 as well.
i am a very active trader using AB/IB every day. i have not made any
changes to my setup at all, but out of the 100 tickers in my amibroker
realtime quote window only about 40% receive RT quotes now, the rest
stays blank.
i only use the IB plugin for RT data, not for backfill. but when
trying to backfill i receive the error "symbol is invalid! consult
symbology guide." symbols include tickers like XOM, AEE, EXC, CLP ...
these tickers do receive RT data in my TWS.
my setup: IB1.80 TWS887.2 Java1.6.0.07.
