TJ, thank you for adding /3GB ability, now I am able to run 4 instances
with larger opts than before - I still haven't hit the new limit yet.
    8 - ) But if you or anyone knows, I guess I still don't understand
exactly how the memory limitations work. I have 4G of RAM. At first I
thought that with virtual memory ( paging file ), I would be able to
effectively have more than 4G. Then I learned that 32-bit windows can only
allocate 4G, and apps are limited to 2G, or 3G with /3GB switch. But when I
finish running large opts and then look at Task Manager, it *looks* like,
with the paging file included, I *do* have more than 3G available to me. I
have included some stats from Task Manager below - could anyone explain to
me exactly how this works and if it is possible to know in advance how much
total memory I can use? Thank you!

Steve

Task Manager stats after running 4 simultaneous large Opts
-----------------------------------------------------------

Page file usage = 3.79 G

Commit Charge ( total memory allocated to apps and OS )
total = 3.999 G
limit = 9.409 G
peak = 5.147 G

Physical Memory ( RAM )
total = 3.406 G
available = 2.757 G
system cache = 0.579 G
