Scanning 500 symbols is not a problem but 
a) you have to have subscription that covers 500 streaming symbols
b) data should be backfilled initially (so very first scan per day (best run BEFORE market open) needs "wait for backfill" )
c) real-time scans should be performed without "wait for backfill".

If all conditions a)-c) are fulfilled, RT scan does not differ from running EOD scans.
