Yes, this is what happens, typically.

It is all up hill until one day you wake up and you are a trader.

Your are in the zone and exactly as JM said you are taking less risks 
than ever.

You recognise other traders who are also in the zone instantly.

Embrace it and eliminate even the little bit of risk that is left.
