The way I handle a "Clear" color, is I define ColorClear =  
ColorRGB(254,254,254);
Then I make two different plot routines.  One for normal colors, and a  
special one if(Draw1 == ColorClear)
In the clear one, you plot all the lines without any background color  
areas.

In my case, I am just using this technique for Gfx plots.
