Does your downloader permit you to specify the range
of dates to use for downloading historical data (many do)? If so, just
delete the symbols and download for the specified
range.
If not, I suspect that you will have to write
some code using the file functions fopen, fclose, fgets, and fputs which
can read/write the data file. In terms of strategy, I suppose that
there are a number of ways to go but one might be to read the data and then
within the date range of interest write it to a new file. There are
export/import codes in the library that might be helpful.
