Before going down that road have you checked your downloader?  I know that some offer the option of deleting data within a specific date range.

I want to remove all data from between the dates 1/2/2008 and
7/7/2008, across all stocks.  The manual remove is too slow obviously.

Can someone tell me how to create a watchlist and delete the quotes
that way?  Thanks.
