QuickAFL is *NOT* new.
It is here since 2003 (in indicators).

5.14 merely allows to use it in AA. The code for that
existed in AB since 2003, but was disabled.

Also it was not "illogical" contrary to what you may thing.
I delayed that FOR PURPOSE:
a) I wanted extended real-world testing period in the "indicator" only mode
so I can be sure it works fine in many widely different cases
b) I did not want a headache from hearing from people not reading the docs
and not understanding how QuickAFL works and complaining that "they indicator values change".

I still expect lots of "teething" problems as you named it, for sole purpose
that some non-stop complainers would complain with each and every change
no matter how good it is.
