I'm unable to get IO(.exe 06/04/2007 / v1.4.6.2) to work with
AmiBroker 5.00.1. I downloded and unzipped the latest free IO.zip from
Yahoo Groups last night and I've traced the problem to the first line
generated for the Included IOFunc.afl file:
function IOptimize(ParamID, Default, MinVal, MaxVal, Incr)
The Amibroker interpreter chokes when "Default" is assigned to another
variable and bombs out the rest of the code because "Default" is a
reserved word, and the [1st]error generated is "Syntax error,
Expecting IDENTIFIER" with a pointer to the "D" in Default.
FWIW, I haven't used IO since I upgraded Amibroker to 5.0 from 4.8.
My AFL code works fine with the AB backtester.
I'm prepared to look stupid. I can take it! :-)
