The only thing I can think of is tricking it to do so. What if you
plot a moving average and use the Xshift parameter in the Plot so it
would "force" or "create" the extra spaces you want. You could also
use the styleNoDraw to hide the Moving Average line.
With this method you would end up with the extra white space that you
want.
