Ron
I disagree. Volume is one of my bestest friends.
And bestest friends know each others ins and outs, strengths and
weaknesses, and act accordingly.
To solve the problem Judith raises we need to be able to identify how
bullish or bearish our friend is at any paricular time, and I've
learnt how to do that with my friend.

While he is a true friend it's just that sometimes I have to slap him
around a bit with TA to knock some sense into him. Friends need that
sometimes, like when they get drunk, or are having trouble with
women - more especially when both things are happening at the same
time.

Anyway, my friend gives me confidence when placing trades and gives
me the very bestest of all advice on position size.

I'd introduce you to my friend now but I'm preparing a proper
dissertation on how I slap him into shape.
It's like his formula and it's interpretation and I want to get it
right, and I'll post it when I've finished.

So DON'T be horrid to my friend any more or I'll come over and slap
you into shape.

So there
Gerard

volume many, many times means a lot more SELLING than BUYING --
that's why I prefer a leading indicator such as a Multiple Line
Stochastic that works of price changes only -- volume can come back
and bite you if you go only for an increase being a "good" thing.

farther. The velocity of the momo gives a good heads up regarding
price movement and acceleration of major reversals. Not perfect by
any means but very useful in one's bag of tricks.
