Hello James,

Have you seen the short review of Australian data providers that is
at the UKB?

Follow the link and search for "data australia"

OR look under Data >> Data Resources

I have an historical data disc from them.

I don't know if it is accurate.
I didn't subscribe to their daily service so I don't know about
timeliness.

Yes it is adjusted for events (I don't know how accurate that is
either).

Yes, it is very easy to use.
It is in Metastock format and AB reads it like a charm.

Please refer to the user guide for Metastock plugin help:

Amibroker?

No.
It can be.
It is optional.
PremiumData (Norgate) and JustData are the specialists for that sort
of thing.

No.

As above.
AB is flexible - you can customise databases if you want to.

It is historical data that RealTime users download when they log onto
their RT providers.

If their RT trading system uses lookback periods they need backdata
to build the indicators. They also need historical RT data to
backtest RT trading systems.

As per the UKB post - I did the best I could to list a representative
cross section there and included the 2 providers that are most
popular with AB EOD users - I could have omitted some worthwhile
candidates by mistake but the full list of ASX providers is there as
well, just in case.

all the best with AB and your trading.
