"Yahoo "unadjusted" closes prior to mid 2000 for SOME symbols IS 
adjusted (for dividends but not splits) and not raw. Compare Yahoo 
data to your brokerage statements pre-2000 to see it. It's a mess"

Thanks for phoning in - it must have involved quite a bit of 
detective work.

I would like to follow up.

Would it be possible for you to give me 2-3 symbols with one 
backdated 'time and sales' price for each - around the 2000 year mark 
(I need some numbers to do a stake in the ground historical search) - 
one date/one price per symbol would be enough.

No problem if you are too busy.
