Hi
Starting to make sense of this.
This is for Alertif based on Indicator/Chart pane. Not tested for AA
Alertif.afl only.
Time 11: 30
Set chart to 5 min
AA settings to 5 min.
Lookback to 1 returns a signal at 11: 25.
*** Seems that this value gets cached somewhere in AB or RAM ?? ***
Changing the Chart time interval to 1 hour means AB is now looking for a
signal within the prior 1 hourly bar.
This will inevitably be earlier than the 11:25 signal and (even with
Behaviour flags set to 1+2 to allow repeated new signals) we get no
signals, because there is no new signal. So it _seems_ AB has stopped
working.
Change timeframe to longer timeframes, THEN Shut down AB and restart
gets this going again.
Have tried just exiting the chart, going to another chart for a while,
changing Chart time period and AA settings there and then re-entering
the first chart with these new settings sometimes allows new hourly
signal to come through.
Just doing a Refresh All does not seem to do the trick.
It seems that while testing if we change the timeframe to a longer one,
thereby not creating a new signal we appear to get no signal.
Is there a clear cache type function somewhere that I have not come
across, that we could use to flush this?
This is preliminary and subject to further tests.
Regards
