What happens if you use SetChartOptions(1, chartShowDates, chartGridMiddle = 0)?

when i turn Show Date Axis in the Param Properties window and zoom out I get lots of horizontal lines on my chart:

This is really irritating. Is there anyway to get rid of them without removing the date axis?

Or alternatively, has anyone succeeded on creating a custom date axis without the lines?
