Camtasia and SnagIt are published by the same company -- TechSmith
Camtasia's current release is Version 5, so Version 3 is pretty far behind.  Camtasia is better suited to capture a sequence of screens, as in a slide show, and has hooks to make it easy to use with PowerPoint.  SnagIt is better at capturing, then manipulating and annotating a single screen.
 Thanks, Howard

I use CaptureWiz Pro, has full screen, partial, about 2 minutes of video
(have sent movies to support, now if I click here this happens!!). And just
made a correction in a formula by doing a "stiky" that allows to take a
partial screen snapshot in this case Support/Resistance numbers off of an
E-mail, then post it on top of screen to copy or write in parts of a
formula. Real handy, trail free, costs after that.

By the way I think I posted a link while back were Camtasia was offering
free download of Studio 3, through a UK web site. Works great, can send link
if interested.
