You can also use scripts. It is harder and slower than using a macro.
But then it depends on how many symbols you are importing.
If you just want to automate the process you could use a macro that
saves and duplicates the key strokes you would use. You can use a
macro to download the stock data, put it in files and then import it
all in the same macro. You can schedule it to do this daily. I use
Macro Express for things like that. You can try it free at

If you like it, it costs about $40.
If you want to write scripts it is easier to use a script program. I
use BackEdit 11, a free program at
