Hello,
On *Windows VISTA* every program that registers OLE/COM/ActiveX objects needs a SETUP
that is run in elevated mode because only then it can write to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
where OLE servers are listed.
TC setup is/was not Vista-aware and did not request elevated mode. Hence
extra steps involved (checking "run as administrator" for SETUP program).
Again: this is for TC200x *SETUP* program. Once installed it can run normally (without elevated rights).
The problem was that no 3rd party program could access TC data.
The problems were discovered by TC users and procedure listed in the link provided is given by Worden.
