  AB code to implement
it. If you need it let me know. I remember playing
  with it at the
time with little success. Volume never seems to follow the
  rules well
enough to allow decent or consistent or objective use...at
  least for
me in the medium term. And there is yet another short term
  indicator
featured in latest S&C,Nov 2007, "Short-Term Volume and
  price
Oscillator". Article's presentation leaves something to be desired

but it is another way of looking at the subject.

  But I
think Mr Dormeier likes to use the ADX, DI+, and DI- with shorter

periods for the VCPI. I think he told our investor club it works
well
  with ETFs.

  very interesting. .. hopefully reducing
ambiguities in interpreting volume

Hello
  Ara,
I don't expect to see it the reason being that volume for any bar
  is
only a summary and we don't know where that volume went at an
  intra-
bar level. So far I haven't had any success with vol, although I

haven't put my heart and soul into it.
My next step in that area is
to try to use tick volume/time period.
My instinct is that if any value can
come from vol it would be at
that
  level.
Cheers,
