I keep losing data from my intraday database. At one time I had data
back to Feb 07. Today I noticed that I have lost data for a number of
symbols. For example I now have data only back to Aug for QQQQ and
back to July for QID. But that is not true for everything in the
database. If the data for each stock started on the same date/time
that would mean everything before that date was purged but that isn't
the case. The oldest data I can find starts in April and that varies.
This is not the first time this has happened but it is the first time
I have lost so much data at once. What can cause the data to be
purged? Are there any database settings that control how much data is
stored in the database?
My database settings are 10000 bars, 1 minute data.
In preferences the default database settings are cache size 100, num
bars to load 300 and max megabytes 300. There is a Local database
save option of 5000 max but this line is not checked. I don't see
anything else that would limit the size of the database. My EOD
database has the same settings.
I am using AB version 4.90.5 with the IB plugin.
Any insight into this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Barry
