1) From the AmiBroker home page http://www.amibroker.com:

2) It allows you to program pretty much anything based on price data.
For specific patterns, you will likely need to do the recognition code
yourself, unless it's a standard pattern that someone's done already
and made available. Pattern recognition software is generally not very
easy though for anything more than very simple patterns.
3) You can search watchlists, groups, industries, sectors, markets,
single stocks, or the whole database.
