Re: [amibroker] Re: upgrade licence

I haven't posted much lately, but I thought I'd weigh in on this issue.  AB is the best charting/analysis software avalable.   Its layered, extensible aproach gives you results fairly quickly AND provides you with the ability to drill down to the layer where you can build your solution.    IMO, nothing else provides that.

And the cost?  Compared to other software out there, it was EXTREMELY reasonable.  Many would argue that it was way under-priced.   Now, with the new licensing, it's the pricing is a bit higher but is still VERY reasonable.

But there's a very good reason that you should applaud the price increase...

It increases the probability that Tomasz and his team will keep upgrading and supporting the software.   Consider this - what is the WORST thing that could happen to AB?  Price increase?  Ha!  Not even close.  No, the WORST thing that could happen is that Tomasz decided that it was not longer economically feasible for him to continue to develop and support AmiBroker!

So, for the whiners who complain about the price increase, I'd suggest that they consider the alternative.  To me, that would be extremely bad.

Regards,

Dan.
