Hi,
I saw this move this A.M and thought it was a great looking example of
how range charts can help to see price action better. Have a look in
the files section
... $200 move with .5 Range Charts.png ...
No, I didn't get to trade it :( .... Maybe someday I'll have the skill.
A Tick database using IB is a pain to try to maintain though.
I've been having to getup at 1:30 A.M. to re-login to IB. Not a good
thing at my age. Lol
I also noticed that only a few days worth of quotes can be displayed.
I seem to lose the data , or at least cannot display more than a
couple of days.
I don't know if that is a limitation of AB or if I haven't configured
the database correctly. In any case I would like to be able to display
at least one contract worth of data. For the Emini S&P , that would be
about 3 months worth of Tick-based Quotes.
I really like the Range charts, but I need to find a better way of
getting and maintaining data.
Bye for now,
Greg
