"AmiQuote performs internally 4
steps
a) retrieves the ticker list from AmiBroker (all
symbols loaded currently in AmiBroker); b) gets the last quotation date available in
AmiBroker;
c) performs historical download from last date upto today; d) instructs AmiBroker to
import downloaded files."
I'm confused by your comment. From the above
description it appears that AmiQuote operates like most (all?)
other downloaders. Specifically, historical data is downloaded
from the start date to the current date when there are no quotes in
the database. Once quotes are saved updates only add historical data from
the last quote date to the current date. The description does not suggest
to me that old data is replaced as new adjustments are made. When a new
adjustment (e.g., dividend) is made only data from the last quote is properly
adjusted and prior quotes do not reflect the new adjustment. If this is
the case, it is necessary to delete all data and download all adjusted data
from the start date. Some downloaders
can delete quotes for any period, including as far back as the start date.
I don't use AmiQuote but gather from the question that it does not have this
functionality. In this case, one thought off the top of my head is that
something along these lines might work: delete the database, make a new
one, download all historical data from the start date using the same
symbol file (i.e., *.tls).
